What does "end-to-end encrypted" actually mean here?+
Your photos and writing are encrypted on your phone with a key only you and the people you invite hold. Our servers store the ciphertext — that's it. We can't read your memories, even if a court asked us to.
Is there a free version?+
Yes. Your personal diary and any notebooks people invite you to are free, forever. You only pay if you want to start your own shared notebook — and only once per notebook.
What happens when a notebook fills up?+
You can keep reading every memory, forever. To add more, anyone in the group can extend the notebook with another small one-time purchase. Same notebook, more pages.
What happens if I lose my phone?+
You can find a recovery phrase in the app's Settings. Save it somewhere safe — with it, you can sign in on any device and pull every notebook back down, end-to-end encrypted.
Will there ever be ads?+
No. We make money when you decide to start a new shared notebook. That's the whole business — no ads, no data sales, no "premium tier" arms race.
